Vincent Spano is an Italian-American actor born in Brooklyn. His career took off at the early age of 14, co-starring at 15 in his first film “The Shadow Box,” and three years later, after his participation in the film “The Black Stallion Returns,” he began to be part of the American Zoetrope company, founded by Francis Ford Coppola and George Lucas.

After several successes, notably his role in “Baby It’s You,” he would work again under the direction of Francis Ford Coppola in “Rumblefish.”

To date, Spano has acted in more than 40 films for cinema and television and has appeared in some of the best television series (“Castle,” “The Mentalist,” “House,” “Law and Order”).

Vincent Spano has won several awards and has been nominated as best actor in the ACE Cable awards for his character Marc Ciuni in “Blood Ties.” Likewise, he continues to be recognized in Italy, receiving multiple awards alongside other great actors such as Giancarlo Giannini or Joe Pesci.

Born in Brooklyn, Vincent developed an interest in acting from the age of 14. A year later, he secured a co-starring role in the play “The Shadow Box” and two years later a supporting role in the film “The Double McGuffin.”

At 18, Spano took part in “The Black Stallion Returns” after a lengthy casting process that involved proving that “the New York kid” knew how to ride a horse. With this film, he was welcomed into Francis Ford Coppola’s Zoetrope “family,” the producers of the movie. Immediately after the intense and exciting experience of spending six months filming in Italy, Morocco, and Algeria, Spano returned home to what many consider his “big break” as The Sheik in “Baby It’s You” (a romance about an Italian Catholic boy who meets a Jewish girl).

Following the success of these projects, he again worked with one of his favorite directors, Francis Ford Coppola, in the role of Steve in “Rumblefish.”

To date, Spano has acted in over 40 films for cinema and television and has been a part of some of the best television series.

Vincent Spano has won several awards for his work over the years and has been nominated as the best actor in the ACE Cable awards for his character Marc Ciuni in “Blood Ties.”

Spano has been one of the youngest honorees at the Lake Arrowhead film festival, an event that has shown the same regard for such distinguished actors as Kirk Douglas, Joe Mantegna, or Gena Rowlands.
