Jordi Caballero es un actor catalán que ha actuado en series míticas de la televisión norteamericana como Sex and the City, Alias, Scrubs, CSI: Miami, The Unit, Nip/tuck, General Hospital, The Shield, Entourage, Brothers&Sisters, Rules of Engagement, Grimm, Justified, Gilmore Girls o Human Target.

Este 2022 ha estrenado Gaslit, serie de Robbie Pickering protagonizada por Julia Roberts y Sean Penn basada en el escándalo político del Watergate, donde Jordi da vida a uno de los guerrilleros cubanos que fueron contratados para montar el sistema ilegal de escuchas en el famoso hotel de Washington y que acabó costando la carrera política del Presidente Nixon.

Nacido en Barcelona en 1965 y residente en Los Angeles, ha realizado toda su carrera en USA, a donde se fue siendo un adolescente encandilado por musicales como West Side Story o Un americano en París. En Nueva York se graduó en Interpretación en la Tisch School of Arts de la New York University.

En la gran pantalla destaca su papel de Captain Madrid en la película I Witness (Rowdy Herrington, Promark Entertainment Group, 2003, USA) donde comparte cartel con Jeff Daniels y James Spader, y que le valió una nominación al Premio de Mejor Actor Secundario en el Method Fest.

Además, ha participado en largometrajes como The Stranger (1999), Let it snow (1999), Alex&Emma (2003), Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of The Black Pearl (2003), Final Approach (2005), Valentina’s Tango (2006), Reservations (2008), Dark Streets (2008), Desperate acts of magic (2013), 2 dead 2 kill (2013), Broken Horses (2015) o Trust Fund (2016) entre otros.

De su faceta como productor y guionista destacan los títulos Dance for my Havana (2015), World Coreography Awards (2015, 2016 y 2017), After the rain (2016), The load (2016), A perfect vintage (2021) y El ultimo hit analógico: Macarena, que está en fase de postproducción.  Mención aparte merece el título Tango Shalom (Gabriel Bologna, Convivencia Forever Films, 2021, USA) que Jordi no sólo produjo sino también fue el encargado de la coreografía de este largometraje que ha cosechado premios en distintos festivales como el Toronto Film Channel, New Delhi Film Festival, Montreal Independent Film Festival, Madrid International Film Festival o el Golden Door International Film Festival of Jersey City, entre otros.

Su amor por la danza le ha llevado a trabajar como coreógrafo con estrellas como Ed Sheeran, Madonna, Cher, Jennifer López, Camila Cabello, Macy Gray, Jane’s Addiction, The Spice Girls o Tony Bennet, por nombrar a algunos. Ha sido nominado dos veces al Mejor Coreógrafo en los prestigiosos American Coreography Awards y ha participado como coreógrafo en largometrajes taquilleros como Rango, Rent o Brüno.    

Jordi también ha participado en programas de TV famosos como Dancing with the stars, America’s next Top Model, Late Show with David Letterman, Late night with Conan O’Brian, Jimmy Kimmel Live! o The Ellen DeGeneres show. Ha sido juez en talent shows como Step It Up and Dance y Dance Your Ass Off. Además, Jordi Caballero bailó en la gala de los Oscar de 2016.

Una de las facetas más desconocidas de Jordi es la de actor de doblaje, habiendo puesto voz en videojuegos míticos como las sagas Mafia, Uncharted, Grand Theft Auto, Spider-Man o Red Dead Redemption.
