Luca Fontaine was born in Paris. He has Italian-French origins and grew up between France (Paris), Italy (Venice) and England (London). He is a graduate of Juilliard (MFA Acting – group 51). Recipient of the John Houseman Prize for classical theater, the Juilliard Career Advancement Fellowship and the Michael & Suria Saint-Denis Prize.
He started his acting career in Paris before moving to London. While living in England, he acted in various british and international theatre/film productions. Luca then became member of the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain.
In 2018, he moved to New York City after getting accepted in the Drama Division at The Juilliard School where he trained for four years, graduating with a Master of Fine Arts in 2022.
Just before graduation, he got cast in a play at LaMama (NYC-Off Broadway) called God’s Fool and directed by Martha Clarke. In addition, Luca has participated in 2024 in the American series Evil (CBS Studios/Paramount TV), the Spanish series La última noche en Tremor, directed by Oriol Paulo for Netflix, and the French production “Zorro” for Paramount+. Luca is also making his production debut with the short film Blue or Green, also starring Luca Fontaine.
